searxng (2026.10.02-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream snapshot 19ffbcd30686e4008392e93de164200510dfb9d8
    (2026.10.02).
  * Upstream replaced the httpx network stack with curl_cffi:
    - add python3-curl-cffi (>= 0.16.3) to Depends; packaged for this
      archive from the upstream PyPI wheel (python3-curl-cffi 0.16.3-1);
    - drop python3-httpx, python3-h2, python3-sniffio and
      python3-python-socks from Depends; nothing imports them anymore.
  * Drop d/p/0001: the httpx_socks import it guarded is gone, and SOCKS
    proxies are now supported natively by curl_cffi.
  * d/p/0002: refresh for 2026.10.02 (blank-line context drift in
    searx/botdetection); still falls back to python3-redis. The new
    valkey_server engine needs python3-valkey (Suggests); the engine
    loader skips it gracefully when that is absent.

searxng (2026.08.29-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream snapshot: master d226b78bc4 (2026-08-29).
  * Include source in this upload; 2026.06.14-1 was binary-only.
  * Add python3-h2 and python3-babel to Depends: HTTP/2 is enabled in the
    default settings and searx imports babel directly in engines.
  * d/p/0002: guard the valkey import (python3-valkey is not available in
    this archive) and fall back to python3-redis; the limiter now works
    with python3-redis + redis-server.
  * d/p/0001: treat httpx_socks as optional (carried over from the
    2026.06.14-1 packaging), so SOCKS proxies only require
    python3-httpx-socks when one is configured.
  * Skip the test suite: it needs dev-only dependencies (aiounittest and
    friends from requirements-dev.txt) that are not packaged.
